Where is my food data stored?

Food items, dates, notes, reminder settings, and inventory details are stored locally on your device.

Does Use By require an account or sync to a server?

No. Version 1 does not require an account, does not use a backend, and does not sync your food list anywhere.

How do reminders work?

Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device for the item dates you choose.

When reporting a bug, please include:

  • what you were trying to do
  • the steps that reproduce the issue

  • screenshots or screen recordings, if they do not include sensitive information

Purchases & Refunds

Use By: Food Tracker is sold as a paid-upfront App Store app. There is no subscription and no in-app purchase in version 1. Purchase receipts and refund requests are handled by Apple.

Local Data

Use By: Food Tracker does not create an account or upload app data to a backend. To remove local app data, delete individual items in the app or delete the app from your device.
